May 06, 2007

TORONTO  ITR, premier provider of workforce management systems, today announced that ArcelorMittal Point Lisas Ltd., a company of the steel-making group ArcelorMittal and the largest steelmaker in the Caribbean, has successful implemented its TimeZone™ product to manage its 1,500 steel mill employees.

ArcelorMittal Point Lisas has installed the complete suite of the TimeZone™ product for all areas of workforce management including time and attendance, scheduling, accruals, labor allocation, extensive HR functionality and in-depth labor reporting. In addition, the company has integrated ITR’s access control solution with TimeZone™: employees swipe their badges at time clocks located at the plant entrance to unlock turnstiles, effectively limiting site access to authorized personnel only.

ITR analyst Trevor Townsend said, “The implementation of the TimeZone™ product went very smoothly, and the facility is already experiencing significant changes and improvements in its labor management process, especially in the areas of accruals tracking and labor costing.”

“TimeZone™ has already demonstrated value to the company by reducing the amount of administrative time spent on managing employee benefit accruals and has provided ArcelorMittal Point Lisas with a more effective and accurate method of collecting data for costing purposes,” added Townsend.

“ITR is genuinely delighted to be able to support to the workforce management needs of ArcelorMittal Point Lisas.  As a leader in the world steel industry, the company’s workforce is its backbone and the key to its success.  We are confident that our TimeZone™ software will bring even greater efficiency and productivity to their business,” said ITR CEO, Tracy Parzych.
