Access Control – Controllers

SY-400/A
The SY-400/A controls up to two doors, gates or other barriers. Its design enables easy plug-in connection of external devices and cables (e.g. 2 I/O inputs, 2 relay inputs, 1 biometric reader, communication cable, etc.). The SY-400/A is a part of a complete access control solution. All programming and monitoring functions are accomplished via PC with the Falcon software. This unit offers optional 802.11 connectivity for convenient wireless communication.

Master Controller
Access Control systems are used to control and record employee entry to and/or exit from restricted areas. The recorded data may be automatically fed into an access control program (such as ITR’s Falcon software) via a Master Controller, which is used to interconnect up to 16 access terminals to a PC for purposes of door supervision, door status, data collection/ transfer and reconfiguration services. Up to 8 Master Control units (128 doors) may be connected to a single computer serial port. When connecting through Ethernet the number of Master Controllers connected to a single computer is unlimited, since each unit carries a specific IP address. The Master Controller may be concealed for maximum data security.

Access III & IV
Access III & IV are local access controllers designed for single (III) or dual (IV) entrance.  Both controllers work in two modes of operation:

  • On-line - operates on-line with a PC via the Master Control unit and is monitored by the Falcon software. Access III and Access IV controllers provide maximum performance when several are connected to a Master Control unit and are monitored by the Falcon software.
  • Offline – stand-alone operation with complete setup via the keypad of the reader which eliminates the need for a PC.  This set-up enables the Access III and Access IV devices to authorize employees in or out of restricted areas without connection to any other equipment.

Access III and Access IV controllers are housed in a strong metal casing and are equipped with a tamper-proof switch.  These devices are wall-mounted in a concealed location for protection against tampering or vandalism.
